Greetings and welcome to UTAR. As a university by the people, for the people, UTAR has always been a university with a solid foundation, a strong sense of community spirit and a reputation for academic and research excellence. UTAR has a growing regional presence and an expanding international profile of over 600 local and international partners from more than 30 economies, more than 100 external examiners from 19 economies, and more than 140 industry advisors for our academic degree programmes.
We will do our best to make your educational journey at UTAR a fulfilling one with a meaningful
sense of purpose and achievement. We hope you will find new experiences on campus that will engage your creativity, enhance your potential towards greater achievements and spark your
curiosity to explore and learn more for an overall progressive journey in personal growth.
Our focus on quality education and research excellence have led the university to attain numerous local and international awards by both students and staff. We encourage students to be involved in campus co-curricular activities by joining our clubs and societies, short courses, workshops, trainings, webinars, community projects, competitions, and the conferences that involve the local and international community, and the industry. We believe that a good university education must also incorporate learning outside the classroom, interaction with the community and learning from the best in the industry.
